Working from home is much more pleasant and efficient when our office space is well laid out.
By improving the organization of your home office, you will want to spend more time there and your productivity will be increased. Here are some ideas where to start.
Find the perfect place
First of all, it is very important to choose the location of your office carefully. Whether you have a room dedicated to this or you need to set up a work corner, there are some essential elements to take into account.
Electrical and Internet outlets
Make sure you have enough electrical outlets to connect all of your devices. Your Internet connection should also be strong enough in the part of the house you choose. It is still possible to use an Ethernet cable, to connect directly to the port of your router, to improve your Internet access. Your supplier can help you.

Enough space
Provide enough space for a desk or table, chair and storage. If you have large computer equipment, such as a second screen or printer, think about it right away.
Sounds and distractions
If you have a quiet, secluded corner for your office, this would be ideal. By isolating yourself from household distractions and noises,
concentration will come more easily.
However, there is no perfect situation and it is normal not to fill all the boxes. You can still silence yourself by using headphones with a microphone. You can also make a division to delimit your space, for example with curtains, a bookcase or a screen.
Light

If you have a choice, move to a place where you will have natural light. You will enjoy it during your longer days. Otherwise, a desk lamp may work just fine.

Choose your furniture
It is then time to determine the furniture that you will take. To be comfortable for many hours at a time, your desk should be as ergonomic as possible. The chair should be comfortable and allow you to keep your feet flat on the floor. Otherwise, use a footrest.
The hands, wrists and forearms should be parallel to the floor so as not to cause tension in your arms and shoulders. Your computer cabinet should therefore not be too high, if possible. Place your mouse at the same level as the keyboard, and your screen at eye level. Feel free to stack books under your monitor to make it look right.
Organize your equipment
Provide storage for your office equipment, so you don't get cluttered, especially if space is limited. A filing cabinet or a piece of furniture with drawers can be very practical to put your papers there. You can also install storage boxes, shelves or a bulletin board to pin your notes. A clean environment makes it easier to navigate.
Add a personal touch
Finally, arrange your office corner to your image. Personal touches are known to increase productivity, creativity and good humor.
Embellish the room with plants, artwork or frames.
By following these tips, you will be able to work in the best possible conditions.
